A set of flask sections rammed up, ready for assembly. Note the circular flasks. These were rolled from sheet steel, with ribs rolled in to strengthen them. The ends are clamped together, allowing them to be opened to be removed from the finished hub. They have slots in them to align each section with the spokes. The molds have been sprayed with a graphite mold wash to improve the finish of the casting.
